Unbreakable Lazo Wedding Rosary

Newly listed at HolyNameRosaries.com.  The Lazo or Lasso Rosary as it is sometimes called, has Mexican origins. Basically, a Lazo rosary is two full rosaries joined together by one crucifix. It symbolizes the union of the bride and groom in marriage. Traditionally, the godparents or sponsors of the couple getting married place the rosary around the bride's neck and around the groom's neck during the wedding ceremony. Special prayers are then said to join them in Holy Matrimony. After the wedding, one of two things can be done. Some couples keep the rosary so that they can use it to pray together and then later pass it along to their children when they get married. Other couples break the rosary down into two separate rosaries. Then they give one rosary to the bride's mother and the other to the groom's mother as keepsakes of the wedding.

The Pater beads in this rosary are comprised of handmade lampwork beads. This particular style of lampwork is known as wedding cake beads. These beads have an intricate motif of adventurine draped around the white background and adorned with blue, red and yellow flowers. The Avé beads are 6mm white glass beads encased in gold-tone filigree bead caps. The heart shaped Miraculous Medal centers are gold finished pewter. The two tone crucifix is a combination of gold finished pewter and natural colored pewter. I have made this rosary extra long to insure the ease of using it during the wedding ceremony. Three Hail Mary Devotional Chaplet with Green Cloisonne Jasper

This is one of several 3 Hail Mary chaplets that I have completed recently and listed in my shop, HolyNameRosaries.com.  This particular chaplet is comprised of three beautiful 8mm green cloisonne jasper beads. Cloisonne jasper has colored translucent stone with a bronze colored matrix. The chaplet has a silver colored Miraculous Medal on one end and a silver colored sunburst crucifix on the other.   Please click here to learn more about this chaplet.

The Three Hail Marys devotion has enjoyed a long history in the church. The first known person to engage in this prayer is St. Anthony of Padua. He was followed by many saints and doctors of the church, among whom was St. Melchtilde. St Gertrude wrote of the Apparition that St. Melchtilde experienced with the Three Hail Marys devotion . Later, St Gertrude, herself experienced an apparition of the Blessed Virgin who promised a good death to anyone who practiced the devotion.  Please visit my shop, HolyNameRosaries.com to view more of my 3 Hail Mary Chaplets.

St James de Compostela Rosary

The Aves in this handsome rosary are 6mm Bordeaux colored Swarovski pearls. Swarovski pearls are among the best simulated pearls available. The center is a Swarovski crystal which has been covered with 4 layers of nacre (pearly coating). These simulated pearls have a beautiful glow and will last many years. Complimenting the Ave beads are 10mm black onyx beads. The crucifix is the cross of the shrine of Santiago de Compostela which is the shrine that was made famous by St James the great. The shell center is also associated with Santiago de Compostela. This shrine in Spain has long been the destination of many pilgrimages and the shell has become a symbol for the pilgrims who often came to the shrine to be baptized.  Please click here to learn more about this rosary and please visit my shop, HolyNameRosaries.com to see more of my unbreakable rosaries and chaplets.

St Therese Rosary with Autumn Jasper

The Ave beads in this rosary honoring St Therese, the Little Flower, are 6mm autumn jasper. They range in color from rosy pink, to peach to a light jade green. I've done my best to capture the color of this beautiful stone. The white howlite Pater beads provide a nice contrast for the Aves. The centerpiece and the sunburst crucifix are both silver colored metal. The back of the centerpiece says "Pray for Us".   Please click here to learn more about this rosary and please visit my shop HolyNameRosaries.com to see more of my unbreakable, wire wrapped rosaries and chaplets.

St Brigid Rosary with Moss Opal

The Ave beads in this rosary are 6mm moss opal beads. This stone is in the opal family, but it does not possess the same iridescent fire that is commonly associated with opals. Nevertheless, these stones have a beauty all their own. I do not know the name of the stone in the Pater beads, but it matches the Ave beads exactly so I used it. :)    The center honors St Brigid and has an image of St Patrick on the back. Both the center and the crucifix is silver colored metal.  Please click here to learn more about this rosary and please visit my shop, HolyNameRosaries.com to see more of my unbreakable rosaries and prayer beads.
