The Ave beads in this rosary are 6mm moss opal beads. This stone is in the opal family, but it does not possess the same iridescent fire that is commonly associated with opals. Nevertheless, these stones have a beauty all their own. I do not know the name of the stone in the Pater beads, but it matches the Ave beads exactly so I used it. :) The center honors St Brigid and has an image of St Patrick on the back. Both the center and the crucifix is silver colored metal.
