Both the Ave beads and Our Father beads are
beautiful fire polished rosaline beads from Czechoslovakia. The Ave
beads are 8mm faceted beads with silver plated filigree bead caps and
the Our Father beads are 12mm faceted beads with silver plated bead caps
that have a floral motif. The large Pater beads are multifaceted and
are beautiful to look into. The delicate color of these beads is the
same as a nice Rose or Blush Wine with a little bit of pink and a little
bit of peach. Unfortunately, my photography doesn't do it justice.
The center piece honors Mary, Undoer of Knots which is Pope Francis' favorite aspect of Our Blessed Mother. The intricate cut-out crucifix shows Mary Magdalene and Mary the Mother of Jesus at the foot of the cross. Both the center and the crucifix have "Italy" stamped on the back and both are made of silver colored metal This is a substantial rosary with a nice weight and feel.
