Miraculous Medal Rosary Beads Green Pink Roses Unbreakable Wire Wrapped

The Ave beads in this rosary are 8mm bohemian beads from Czechoslovakia. These beads are a light sage green with a silver luster coating. The luster coating gives the beads extra sparkle and shine. Each of these beads has a 3mm silver plated bead caps at either end. The Pater beads are 12mm round porcelain beads with dark pink splashy flowers on them. The flowers look like roses or peonies. The ornate center is a Miraculous Medal and which is complimented by the ornate Fleur-de-lis crucifix. The crucifix is stamped "Italy" on the back. Natural Moonstone Rosary Garnets Mother of Sorrows

The Ave beads in this beautiful rosary are 6mm natural rainbow moonstone beads. These beads are called "rainbow" moonstone because have lots of "fire" or iridescence. When seen in bright light, these beads several different colors. This is difficult to catch with a camera.  The translucence of the beads gives them a subtle glow. This, too, can be seen in the photos The Pater beads are 8.5 natural garnets. These beads provide a nice contrast to the snow white moonstone beads. The garnets appear black in dim light and also appear black in the photos. They are actually a deep wine red color. The center honors Our Mother of Sorrows and the reverse shows a Pieta. Vintage Style Amethyst and Sterling Silver Rosary

The Hail Mary beads in this beautiful rosary are 6mm amethyst beads. Many of these beads have inclusions which give variations in color and sudden glints of light. Pope Francis Rosary in Matte Opal and Picture Jasper

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want" Psalm 23, verse 1

This is the thought that goes thru my mind every time I see Pope Francis' official Crozier. How fitting, because Pope Francis is, in every way, the "good shepherd" for the Church. He is a very holy, and simple man doing his best to live the way Christ taught us too.

Because I think so highly of him, I wanted to make a rosary to honor Pope Francis. The Ave beads are 8mm matte opal beads. These beads are the prettiest beads I've seen in a long time. They are not completely round, and some of them do have dimples and imperfections. This gives them the appearance of being handmade although I'm very certain that they were not made by hand. They range in color from turquoise to green to tan and brown. They remind me of heavily oxidized copper. The matte finish gives them a satin feel. Accenting the Ave beads are the Pater beads which are 12mm picture jasper. These beads provide a nice contrast to the matte opal beads. Both the cross and the center are silver colored metal. Our Lady of Fatima Rosary in Natural Amazonite and Lampwork Glass

The Ave beads in this rosary are 8mm natural amazonite beads. These beads are a light aqua color and are slightly translucent. They provide a beautiful contrast to the handmade lampwork Pater beads. The lampwork beads are very dark green glass with stylized pink flowers with adventurine glass swirls.

The center piece honors Our Lady of Fatima. The intricate cut-out crucifix shows Mary Magdalene and Mary the Mother of Jesus at the foot of the cross. Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary with Handmade Lampwork Beads

The focal point of this rosary are the handmade lampwork Our Father beads. These beads are comprised of silver and gold foil encased in bright red-orange transparent glass. Because they are handmade, no two beads are exactly alike. Some may have minor imperfections from the creation process. This is to be expected with handmade items and adds to the charm of a handcrafted item. The Hail Mary beads are 6mm bright red orange man made rock crystal beads. These beads look red in some light and orange in other types of light. The center of the rosary honors Our Lady of Guadalupe whose feast day is December 12. The reverse side honors St Juan Diego. St Francis Rosary with Trinity Crucifix

The Avé beads in this rosary are 8mm red creek jasper beads. Some people refer to this stone as Picasso jasper, but the correct name is red creek. Each of these beads is different from the others but all are various shades of earth tones. Accenting these beads are the12mm white magnesite Pater beads. Magnesite looks very much like white turquoise and many people refer to it as such. Please note that these are two entirely stones. Magnesite is a beautiful but common stone. White turquoise is quite rare and is only mined in the American southwest. Please ask the origin of the stone when purchasing something labeled as white turquoise. The crucifix honors the Trinity with God the Father at the top of the crucifix and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove behind Our Lord's head. The center honors St Francis of Assisi one of Pope Francis' favorite saints. Both are silver colored metal. This is a nice, heavy rosary with a substantial feel. Mary Undoer of Knots Rosary in Red Carnelian

Mary Undoer of Knots Rosary Pale Blue Amazonite

Mary, the Undoer of knots is reported to be Pope Francis' favorite aspect of Our Blessed Mother.  The Ave beads in this rosary are 8mm pale blue Amazonite. These beads are slightly translucent which gives them a light appearance. Some of the beads have slight imperfections, this is to be expected with natural stone beads. The Pater beads are jasper from Madagascar. They are a light gray color with light blue mixed in. This rosary would make a wonderful gift. It would also be great to keep for yourself. Mary Undoer of Knots Rosary

The Ave beads in this striking rosary are 8mm African turquoise. It is important to note, that African turquoise is not genuine turquoise. Rather it is a form of jasper found in Africa. The color and the matrix of African turquoise leads it to be used as a turquoise substitute and is responsible for the common name of the stone. Accenting the African turquoise are the black onyx Pater beads. Each of these are comprised of one10mm black onyx bead flanked by 2 6mm black onyx beads. The center honors Mary the Untier of Knots and is comprised of silver colored metal. I have only recently learned about Mary the Undoer or Untier of Knots. However, my experiences with her bears this out because she has always seemed to be there to help during difficult times in my life. I used the swirls of silver plated wire "flowing" up the sides of the beads and intertwining with them to represent the order that our Blessed Mother can bring out of the knots and difficulties in our lives. This theme is further carried out in the intricate "woven" filigree found in the crucifix. This is a substantial rosary with a nice weight. Pope Francis Rosary with Stations of the Cross

Like many people, Catholics and non-Catholics alike, I am enthralled with Pope Francis. His is a singular and inspiring witness to the absolute simplicity and humility of the Christian journey. For this reason, I wanted to make a rosary to honor him.

With this in mind, this is a simple rosary. The Ave's are 6.5mm black onyx beads, The Paters are 10mm black onyx beads. All of the beads have simple 3mm bead caps at either end. The center has an image honoring Pope Francis on the front and an image of his Coat of Arms on the back. The Stations of the Cross crucifix has the all of the Stations of the Cross on the back. St Kateri Tekakwith Unbreakable Rosary

The striking Ave beads in this rosary are reconstituted howlite. These beads are tan and blue, the colors of earth and sky, accented by a black matrix. These are the perfect colors for the Patron Saint of the environment. The Pater beads are 20mm by 8mm bohemian glass from Czechoslovakia . There is an image of a flower pressed into the glass which has a black background with turquoise colored highlights. St James de Compostela Rosary

The Aves in this handsome rosary are 6mm Bordeaux colored Swarovski pearls. Swarovski pearls are among the best simulated pearls available. The center is a Swarovski crystal which has been covered with 4 layers of nacre (pearly coating). These simulated pearls have a beautiful glow and will last many years. Complimenting the Ave beads are 10mm black onyx beads. The crucifix is the cross of the shrine of Santiago de Compostela which is the shrine that was made famous by St James the great. The shell center is also associated with Santiago de Compostela. St Kateri Tekakwitha Rosary with African Turquoise

The Ave beads in this rosary are small 6mm African turquoise beads. While African turquoise is the common name for this stone, it isn't actually turquoise. It is a form of jasper that is mined in Africa. Because its teal color and black matrix is so similar to turquoise it is referred to as turquoise and is used as a turquoise substitute. Also, these beautiful little beads measure 6mm, but they are on the small side. The result is a dainty rosary that has a nice light feel to it. The Pater beads are 8mm black onyx flanked by 4mm black onyx. Saint Kateri Tekakwitha is the first Native American to be beatified. She was born in 1656. As young girl, she contracted small pox and her face was terribly disfigured by the disease. She converted to Catholicism as a young woman and because of this she was shunned by her tribe. She suffered greatly because of her faith. She was devoted to the Eucharist and cared for the sick and elderly. Like St. Therese, she died at the tender age of 24. After she died, the terrible scars from the small pox disappeared leaving her skin smooth and unmarred. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1980 and she will be canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct 21, 2012. She is the patron of the environment and ecology.
