Mother of Sorrows Rosary Labradorite Hematite Lead Free Pewter Wire Wrapped Unbreakable

The striking Ave beads in this rosary are 8mm black labradorite. As you can see from some of the photos many of these beads have a very nice "fire" or iridescence in bright light. Some of these beads have minor imperfections, but that only adds to the charm of this handmade rosary. Accenting the labradorite beads are the 12mm hematite Pater beads. These beads are cool to the touch and the metallic, almost liquid appearance gives a nice contrast to the labradorite. Genuine hematite is slightly magnetic. All of the beads have been wrapped in silver plated wire with a decorative swirl of wire going up the side. This wire has 99% fine silver plated onto copper.

The pewter center honors Our Mother of Sorrows. This is one of my favorite centers. The back of the center honors the Pieta. The pewter crucifix has a heart on the end of each arm of the cross and it goes very nicely with the center. This is a substantial rosary with a nice weight and feel.  Please click here to learn more about this rosary and please visit my shop, The Rosary Works, to see more of my unbreakable, wire wrapped rosaries.

Good Shepherd Rosary Bracelet with Hematite Beads

This rosary bracelet has a sort of a steampunk feel to it. The Ave beads are 10mm hematite which is a beautiful gunmetal color. The beads are lighter in person than they are in the photos. I tried hard to capture the color, but they came out darker in the photos. I apologize for my poor photographs. Accenting these beads are 3mm silver colored bead caps. Hematite is thought to have healing properties. It is a heavy stone which is generally cool to the touch. It also has slightly magnetic properties. The Pater bead is a 6mm hematite bead. The Good Shepherd charm, crucifix and toggle clasp are all silver colored metal. Mother of Sorrows Hematite Rosary

The Ave beads in this handsome rosary are 8mm hematite beads. They are complimented very nicely by the 12mm dark pink and black porcelain Pater beads. All of the beads are accented by 3mm silver colored bead caps. The Mother of Sorrows center is made of lead free pewter and the crucifix is silver colored metal. Because hematite is heavier than most stones, this substantial rosary has a nice heavy weight. Also, the hematite is cool and pleasing to the touch. Real hematite is slightly magnetic and these beads have a light attraction to a magnet. This rosary would make a wonderful gift...it would also be great to keep for yourself. Stations of the Cross Chaplet

In honor of Lent I am offering another Stations of the Cross chaplet.   It is very much like the chaplet I posted earlier in the week except that the beads are 5mm by 6mm Hematite.   Hematite is also known as The Bloodstone, Hema being derived from the Greek word for blood.   It seems strange that a stone, a mineral actually, that is a shiny, silvery gray color should be known as the Bloodstone.  However, if you break a piece of Hematite open, the center of it is red.   What stone can be more appropriate to use to meditate on the Via Crucis where Christ shed his scared blood for us.   Please click here to learn more about this chaplet and please visit my shop HolyNameRosaries.com to see more of my unbreakable rosaries and chaplets.
