Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary Bracelet in Denim Kyanite

The Ave beads in this rosary bracelet are striking 12mm x 4.5 mm kyanite coin beads. These beads are a dark, denim blue. They do have imperfections which can be seen in the photos. These do not detract from the beauty and charm of the bracelet. Contrasting the Ave beads is a 7mm sterling silver Pater bead. Miraculous Medal Rosary Bracelet

The focal point of this bracelet are the 8mm Bohemian glass beads from Czechoslovakia. These transparent faceted beads are a beautiful rosaline color. Rosaline is a combination of peach and pale rose color. I've tried my best to capture it in the photos, but the pics don't show as much of the rose color as would like. Accenting the Avé beads are antiqued brass spacers. The Pater bead is a handmade bronze bead from Bali. The Miraculous Medal, the crucifix and the toggle clasp are antiqued brass. Rosary Bracelet with Bronze Miraculous Medal and White Magnesite

The Avé beads in this bracelet are 10mm white magnesite. These beautiful beads are white with tan and black veins in them. White magnesite is often wrongly termed white turquoise. Vintage Style Rosary Bracelet

This vintage style rosary bracelet features 8mm by 10mm Czech picasso beads. These amazing dark beads have such a sense of mystery. At first glance, they appear to be black yet deep cranberry colored glass shows thru the faceted center of the bead. Accenting these beads is a 13mm handmade bronze Bali bead. Stations of the Cross Chaplet

In honor of Lent I am offering another Stations of the Cross chaplet.   It is very much like the chaplet I posted earlier in the week except that the beads are 5mm by 6mm Hematite.   Hematite is also known as The Bloodstone, Hema being derived from the Greek word for blood.   It seems strange that a stone, a mineral actually, that is a shiny, silvery gray color should be known as the Bloodstone.  However, if you break a piece of Hematite open, the center of it is red.   What stone can be more appropriate to use to meditate on the Via Crucis where Christ shed his scared blood for us.   Please click here to learn more about this chaplet and please visit my shop HolyNameRosaries.com to see more of my unbreakable rosaries and chaplets. 

Stations of the Cross Chaplet

Also known as the Via Dolorosa or Via Crucis, the Stations of the Cross is one of the most meaningful ways to meditate on the Passion of Our Lord.

While most chaplets honoring the Way of the Cross which have medals, this chaplet has finely detailed sculptural images depicting the individual stations. They are comprised of silver colored metal. The beads are black onyx which are in keeping with the solemn nature of the Stations. The black beads represent our sinful nature and our penance. The red beads on the connectors represent the Blood of Christ which was shed for us. Appropriately, at the center of it all is the Sacred Heart of Jesus because it is His heart and His love for us which led Him to sacrifice Himself for us. The crucifix shows Mary the Mother of Jesus and John the Apostle at the foot of the cross. Please note the third and fourth pictures depict 12 of the 14 Stations. Bohemian Rosary Bracelet from Laude Arts

The Avé beads in this bracelet are 8mm Bohemian Czech beads. They have a very light green/blue background speckled with bronze patches. Complimenting these beads are bronze colored spacers. The Pater bead is also Czech Bohemian glass. It appears to be solid bronze, but is actually a deep blue glass bead with a metallic bronze coating. The striking Aves in this rosary bracelet are 8mm re-constituted howlite. It is turquoise colored with patches of light brown with a black matrix. They remind me of stained glass windows. The Pater bead is a 10mm wood stone bead. It really looks like wood., but is actually stone. St Kateri had a special devotion to the cross, so I used the cross extender to add length to the bracelet. St Kateri Rosary Bracelet with Amazonite

St Kateri Rosary Bracelet at Laude Arts and Gifts

St Kateri Tekakwitha is the first Native American to be beatified. She was born in 1656. As young girl, she contracted small pox and her face was terribly disfigured by the disease. She converted to Catholicism as a young woman and because of this she was shunned by her tribe. She suffered greatly because of her faith. She was devoted to the Eucharist and cared for the sick and elderly. Like St. Therese, she died at the tender age of 24  After her death, the terrible scars that left her so disfigured from small pox cleared up leaving her with a smooth beautiful complexion.  She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1980 and she will be canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct 21, 2012. She is the patron of the environment and ecology.

Because of this, I chose 8mm Amazonite beads for the Aves to represent the sea and the sky and 3mm bronze spacers along with an 8mm man made African turquoise bead for the Pater to represent the earth.
